ATIS

    ATIS stands for Alliance for Telecommunications Industry Solutions. They sponsor a variety of committees and forums that work to set basic guidelines for the industry. These guidelines are published and available through their document center. The ASOG (Access Service Ordering Guidelines) and the LSOG (Local Service Ordering Guidelines) are both published by ATIS.  

NANPA

    NANPA is the North American Numbering Plan Administration. They only provide full blocks of NPA-NXX codes to areas that are either not involved in number pooling or providers that need an entire block. This website gives information on numbering resources and NRUF requirements. NRUF forms are also available here.  

NECA

    NECA administers Company codes (OCN codes), Tariff #4 and #5 (information that supports the ordering, billing and provisioning of interstate access services.)

 

NPAC 

    NEUSTAR also operates NPAC, the Number Portability Administration Center. NPAC operates the call and signaling/routing registry for North America. In order for a service provider to receive a code in a pooling area, they must sign an agreement with NPAC to activate their codes.  

Number Pooling Administration 

    NEUSTAR operates the Number Pool Administration. Th website provides a variety of information on pooling issues, which include pooling areas, timelines, pooling forms and meeting notifications.

         

Telco Exchange

    The Telco Exchange provides a variety of helpful resources for carriers, such as a pure distance calculator, billing percentage and switch information.

Telcordia

    Telcordia Technologies, Inc. is the global resource that provides a variety of products to the telecom industry. You can purchase a variety of technical documents, codes and tools from the Telcordia Store. Telcordia administers the BIRRDS database, which is used to publish the LERG, TPM, and other important rating documents. They also administer CLLI, ACNA, EC, DRC, ICSC, RAO, and MFR codes.

Telcordia Numbering Services Center

    The Telcordia Numbering Services Center administers Point Codes (CCS codes) and the HNI (Home Network Identity) portion of the IMSI (International Mobile Subscriber Identity). They also distribute the Global Dialing Code Directory.

TRA

    TRA (Telcordia Routing Administration) provides a number of guidelines used to support the industry's Numbering and Routing processes. These guidelines cover such topics as Central Office Codes, Thousand Block Pooling, AOCN information, RAO codes, CCS codes, LERG and TPM specifications.
